I am a language professional with a PhD in French and 20+ years experience in translation, education, and publishing. I specialize in producing high-quality French to English translations and also offer English editing and proofreading services. As a tenured full professor of French at a public university, I have taught all levels of French, including courses on translation, and am very familiar with grammar, lexis, idioms, and the diverse cultures of the Francophone world. I am also a language textbook author and published researcher with transcription, writing, proofreading, and editorial experience. Having lived in France and with family roots in Québec, I am very comfortable with both European and North American varieties of French. While I continue to teach, my flexible schedule allows me to pursue my love of translation. I am looking to expand my business with new clients and new types of projects.
